Drew Nienstedt founded Green Hammers to mesh his passions for craftsmanship and the environment. He has a Master's Degree in Chemistry and brings nearly 10 years of corporate project management experience to the business of building. His scientific and management backgrounds are complemented by his talents in home remodeling. Drew has a reputation for creative problem solving, strong designs and an excellent eye for detail. He has completed a workshop series in green building from Boise State University and a green certification course by NARI.
Drew supports local environmental organizations including the Idaho Conservation League, Advocates for the West and Idaho Rivers United. Green Hammers is also a proud sponsor of the Idaho Green Expo. Drew spends his free time fly fishing, backpacking, mountain biking and building furniture. He lives in Boise with his wife and two daughters.
Dusty Shipp was born and raised in the mountains of central Idaho. He began his building career as a young man and he brings 15 years of experience to Green Hammers Construction, including custom home building and management of his own building company. For Dusty, being able to merge his considerable construction experience with Earth-friendly building practices is a winning combination. He recently completed a green certification course by NARI.
Dusty lives in the Treasure Valley with his wife, their six children (three boys and three girls), three horses, two turtles, a dog and a cat. They enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, hunting and horseback riding in the Idaho wilderness.
